I've been looking forward to this page going up for a while, for a couple reasons. One is that I think the above panel is one of the best Katie has drawn, the expressions are wonderful and make me smile every time I look at Blob. The other is that we talk a little bit about how Blob fits into the crew.
Blob is what I call him as shorthand but at this point in the story they don't have a name. They also don't have a gender. Blob won't ever have a gender by the way, that's not what this story is going to be but while this story does take place in a fictional future I'm writing SW in a way that, while other creatures and robots from the universe are more advanced, the humans on this ship can still be stuck in out-dated and sometimes foolish ways of thinking. This is going to come in to play with Trey and others. They still have a lot to learn.
