My Favourite "Whose Line..." Moment

As I'm going to a Greg Proops podcast recording tonight, it had me thinking about the show through which he first came into my life, Whose Line Is It Anyway?

The UK show first aired in 1988 when I was just 5 years old, so it has been around for pretty much as long as I can remember. While the UK version is no longer on the air now, it ended after ten years of brilliance, Greg and the other stars went on to do a myriad of projects including a US version of the show.

But when I thought about it I realised that my favourite moment of Whose Line... didn't actually feature Mr Proops at all. In fact, it all revolved around Mr Raptor-arms himself, Colin Mochrie.

To set this video up, I must give a little bit of back story. The game played below is know as Hoedown and is, without a doubt, the performers' most hated game. They despised it and have gone on record numerous times to confirm this fact. One man in particular who was very obvious about this fact was Colin. He stumbled over it every time and would find a number of ways to cheat his way through the game like repeating a word over and over again until his verse was finished. However, in this one, he found a particularly hilarious way to get out of this rhyming game.

Everybody's reaction to him, especially Ryan's eyes and little nudges with his foot, had me nearly peeing myself when I first watched this as a kid. In fact, I'm not sure I can 100% claim that no pee at all came out.

This moment has stayed with me for nearly 20 years now. I'll never forget it. Kudos gentlemen.
