I Heart Graffiti: Do Something To Be Proud Of

This is the first in what will (hopefully) be a regular update here on the blog. I felt I needed to make something exclusive to here.

I've always loved graffiti. Living in Dublin city centre as I have for the last 8 years I've seen lots of cool work as I walk around. Recently, I've tried to capture my favourite ones as they are rarely around for long.

So I'm going to update this blog with a new piece as often as I can in order to share my appreciation for the art form.

This week, I've collected some of my favourite's from  the past. Next week I will start with the new stuff.

I walk by this one on my way home from work. It's on a wall beside The Bernard Shaw pub and this pub is notorious for it's connection with graffiti and has plenty of wall space like this dedicated for artists.

This one is from Atlanta, Georgia. My friend Dana was telling me about this tunnel  in Cabbagetown where there was all this great stuff. He took me down one day and of all the cool stuff, this was my favourite.

This one popped up outside my job. It was only around for 2 days so I didn't get a chance to take a photo with my better camera, hence the camera phone here. But I love this thing. Cheered me up no end.

This is a simple one but I like it because of it's simplicity. It felt like a superhero was tagging their territory or something. Found it just around the corner from where I live.

That's it for this week! I'll hopefully be able to show you a new picture every week. If you have a cool piece of graffiti you have seen, show me the picture! I'll try to include them in these updates.
