Dragon Con Schedule 2014

Hey hey! This weekend is the annual geekfest known as Dragon Con. I'll be there to both perform and generally have fun. Here is the official list of what I'll be doing (don't believe any other list, even what you see on the Con app)

Title: Solve This: Live!

Title: FRED Presents Attack of The Celebrity Improv

Title: Gonzo Quiz Show V: The Quizening

Title: Make the Bad Men Stop: The Prequel that's a Sequel

Description: NeedCoffee.com talks about Hollywood's plans and will make you cry all the way home from Con... soooo sad.

Come say hello if you can. There is a chance I might pop up on other things too but these are what you're guaranteed to see me do.

Craic on Tour Part 2 (Epilogue)

Hahahahaha, yeah. What was I thinking, right? I was a fool to say I could update this blog with reports from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A fool.

As for a debriefing... I'm going to save that for a certain podcast soon. What I will say for the time being is that it was both fantastic and frustrating. The staff at Gryphon Venues were absolutely lovely. The cast and crew of the show did a great job. I enjoyed a number of shows including GhostCop, Birthday Girls, and Hedluv & Passman. And, uh I dunno, I didn't eat as much haggis as I would have liked.

Fantasy League of DOOM!

NOTE: This article was originally published by me on TheWebsiteofDOOM.com

Hey there sports fans! The staff here at DOOM Towers have long held the tradition of playing a fantasy football league with the English Premier League. But this year, I'm going to open it up to all our readers too! You can compete with the staff of DOOM to win a (plastic toy) trophy and some (random crap) prizes!

It's a head-to-head league which means each week you'll be pitted against another team in our league and the winner will have points added to their tally.
I'll be giving monthly reports on the league including commentary on how your teams are doing and players to watch out for!

The English Premier League starts on the 16th of August so to register your team in time you must have joined our league before midnight GMT on the 15th of August as that is when I will close our league to new entries.

To join simply go to http://fantasy.premierleague.com, create your team and then go to the "Leagues" button in your top menu bar. You'll see an option to join a league and just enter our code to join up!

The code is:

My team Phoenix Park Tuesday are waiting for you there. I look forward to beating you!

The Drive In of DOOM - Blade

Your favourite comic-book-movie-adaptation-commentary-podcast is back with the important surprise hit of the 90s... Blade.

I get tipsy on some wine and JJ gets buzzed on some coffee and we both ramble like the rambling idiots that we are.

Craic on Tour Part 1 (Prologue)

As has been mentioned a couple of times on here already, as of Monday the 11th of August I shall be performing for two weeks at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with the show I co-wrote called The Craic Was Mighty. That's me up there with most of the cast performing at our sold-out preview show in Powerscourt Theatre last week.

It's the reason why I have written almost nothing online for the past couple of months but it's been worth it and hopefully now we'll get some good reviews at The Fringe. I'll be posting lots of pictures of our adventure on my Instagram account and on the show's official Facebook page but I hope to post a couple times about the experience here too. Hence why I somewhat ambitiously titled this article "Part 1".

I've talked a bit about how exciting it is to go over but I haven't talked much about how important it is to me. At the end of this year my day job is finished and for the first time in my life I'm not applying for another one. This is it. It's comedy full time for me in 2015. The next month between The Fringe and then Dragon Con, I'm going to have a little taste of that. It's going to be tough, despite working on many projects over the last 7 years I'll be starting from the bottom and hopefully working my way up. This experience could go a long way to helping me make a success of it all. So yeah, it's a big deal for me personally.

But before we go here are a couple more pictures of the preview show taken by lightexplorers.net (everything looks classier in black and white).
