This month I've spent most of my time watching YouTube channels. Exciting, I know. As a result, you'll see a lot of YouTube videos in my list. It's a simple system I work here at MFT but I feel it suits me. So lets get started.
1) Rear Window Timelapse
Rear Window is one of my favourite movies ever. I love a simple idea that is executed perfectly and that's exactly what Rear Window is. It has been parodied a million times by every TV series from The Simpsons to That 70s Show.
What I like about this is that it has been put together to play all the parts of the scenery at once. I feel like I'm not explaining that correctly but luckily the video is self explanatory so watch and enjoy!
Something that probably isn't the norm for my Ameircan readers is the football single. It's roots go back as far as the 70s when permed footballers would sing about how great they are now that they've gotten to a cup final or something.
We're no different these days. Despite how incredibly awkward it is for everyone involved. Seriously, it's cringeworthy. Listen to Ireland's single for qualifying to the Euro Championship. It's called "The Rocky Road To Poland" and it's a re-working of an old song called "The Rocky Road To Dublin".
Just keep reminding yourself that it's all for charity.
And if you really want to feel the uneasiness watch this isolated footage of just the team singing, featuring team member Shane Long on guitar. Its like when you were made sing in school.

With all my excitement for a certain superhero team movie coming out soon I've dropped the ball with some of my trailer reviews for other films. In all honesty there are so many big movies coming out this year, I had to pick and choose which ones I review. There is only so much time in the day! Luckily my fellow DOOMsters have pitched in and helped me out with a couple (although some still haven't shown up with that Spider-man trailer review yet). Despite all that, a look at Prometheus really shouldn't have taken this long.
I love the first three Alien movies. In my mind, that's all that exists. We shall not speak of any others. Ridley Scott taking the helm of a new movie, not a sequel or prequel, set in the same universe understandably set the geeks ablaze with excitement. Then we heard the case. Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce. Really, you guys? Throw in Patrick Stewart and maybe David Tennant and we have officially hit every fan group possible.
Everything is sounding awesome so far, right? Like, really, really, really ridiculously good. The trailer has a lot to live up to. Let's see what it manages.
Give yourself a minute, then read on for my thoughts.
This week I joined Weekend Justice in full flow as I arrived late and with a severe cold. I'm still trying to shake the damn thing off (the cold, not the podcast... although...). So while the show is as nuts as it usually is, I'm a little bit more off-the-wall than normal.
The cast this week is myself, Widge, Jon, Rox, Tuffley, Serv and Rob. Talk includes:

I'm back from my rather epic Wrestlemania predictions victory to give a quick update for those who may not be following the wrestler's exploits online.
Anyone who knows me, or has even read these reports, knows that I heart Dolph Ziggler. He's great, 'nuff said. So it will be no surprise that I follow him on Twitter. (For the record, the wrestlers who I follow online are: CM Punk, Zack Ryder, Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan and the Zig Zag man). While Dolph's feed is mostly kayfabe #HEEL stuff, which I enjoy, he also links to things he enjoys from time to time.
When the following video popped up online, well, Dolph got a little excited. NOTE: don't worry, the guy chewing his way through the first 30 seconds of the video is not important.
Dolph proceeded to beg the WWE to let him do a response video. Dolph does a WWE YouTube show called Download which is pretty terrible if I'm honest but at least allows the Z man to shine with a few funny self-depricating remarks. My favourite of which being "I don't lose [to the side]actually, I lose all the time, don't tell my mom[/to the side]". It may have taken a while, but his wish was granted.
That promo above, is pretty much more screen time than Ziggler has been allowed in months on TV. I won't get into how badly the WWE are mismanaging one of the best wrestlers on their roster right now, just know it may be another report in the future.
So far so good, right? A fun internet flame war to keep the boredom at bay. Well, it ain't over yet.
Now, obviously this is just a PR stunt on behalf of two men who both trash talk in the guise of characters they play but when it makes me laugh as much as it has done so far... I'm down with it.
And when this is the best feud Ziggler has had in months, well, it says something.

While the original is a classic piece of cinema, I wasn't of the fanboy level screaming "they're destroying my childhood" when I heard Columbia Pictures were doing a remake. In fact, I thought it would never actually happen and that the production would end up in the "what ever happened to..." category of history as these things often do.
It's here now and Colin Farrell is filling the very large shoes of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the role of Quaid. Kate Beckinsale is taking over from Sharon Stone. With the likes of Bryan Cranston, Jessica Biel, and Bill Nighy rounding out the cast list, it's starting to look promising. But as we all know, things can still fall apart at the seams.
With the first full trailer being released this week I thought it was worth taking a look.
Here are some general thoughts on first impression...
A quick post just to include you in some of the things I've posted in the last few days.
The music reccomendation column I do on DOOM with some of the other writers just went up on Friday. It's called Audiophilia and I really enjoy doing it with them. Have a look and listen HERE.
I'm also in charge of asking a monthly Poll there too. I usually come up with something silly. New one went up today. You can vote HERE.
I've also been playing about 20 games of Words With Friends over the weekend. So now all I can see are tiles.
